Hoshinchu, a Japanese company, invented an air bonsai tree that levitates and gyrates above its pot.

The floating bonsai is made up of two parts, an “energy pot” and a “floating ball”. Both parts are installed with magnets so the ball can float with the bonsai on top of it.

The floating ball is wrapped with moss that you can transplant any bonsai plant into. It also contains a rotating mechanism running on an AC adaptor. The energy pot is made in imari which is a traditional Japanese porcelain art. The magnet in the pot allows the bonsai to float.

The company plans to cooperate with plant growers across the world to make the air bonsai also available outside of Japan.
